1. Product and usage
What is Destiny Book?
Destiny Book is an AI-assisted self-reflection tool built on the Four Pillars. It turns the structure and stage information in a chart into a personal reading you can read, save and keep asking questions about. It does not claim to predict definite events for you.
Which traditional frameworks does the reading use?
A deterministic engine first calculates the year, month, day and hour pillars, and organises the Five Elements, Ten Gods, Day Master strength, chart structure, seasonal balance, Useful Element, favorable and cautionary elements, and the 10-year Luck Cycles and annual cycles. Those facts are locked, then handed to AI to express in everyday language.
Where should I start the first time?
Enter your birth date, time and place on the home page to complete an introductory reading for free. From there you can unlock the more detailed themed sections as needed.
Can I keep asking questions after the reading?
Yes. Each reading includes 3 follow-up questions, and the follow-ups are saved together with the original judgement so you can revisit them later.
2. Birth details and chart plotting
What happens if my birth time is not accurate? Do you correct to true solar time?
If you know the exact time, enter it as recorded. We combine the time zone in effect for the birth city that year, daylight saving rules and longitude to convert to true solar time. If the place cannot be confirmed, the chart is plotted from the clock time you entered. If the time is unknown we estimate noon, and an approximate time close to an hour boundary can still change the hour pillar and the conclusions that depend on it.
What if I enter the wrong birth place, or cannot find it?
The birth place only affects the time correction. If the birth city cannot be resolved reliably, the engine falls back to the clock time you entered and keeps that fallback as an internal uncertainty. It does not change the date and time you entered.
3. Payment and entitlements
How is it billed? Is it a subscription?
Paid content is currently delivered as a one-time purchase or redemption and does not auto-renew. The actual items, currency, price, taxes and included content are those shown on the page before you pay.
Which payment methods are supported?
Mainland China settles through Alipay; Hong Kong, Taiwan and other supported regions settle by card. The prices and available methods shown for your region on the checkout page take precedence.
What should I do if I paid but the content did not unlock?
Keep the payment time, amount and order number, then email support@mymingshu.com. We check and restore the entitlement within 1–2 business days.
Can I get a refund?
For verifiable problems such as a duplicate charge, a successful payment whose content was not delivered, or a system fault, contact support@mymingshu.com within 7 days of payment. Once verified, we will refund, resend or restore the service as appropriate. Digital content that has already been generated and delivered is generally not refundable without cause, except where the law requires it or the service itself is faulty.
4. Account and reports
Where are reports stored?
The introductory reading, themed sections, insight cards and unlock records are all stored in your account and remain available across devices.
Will I still see them after changing device or browser?
Sign in to the same account and they remain available. Content created while signed out is stored only in the local storage of that browser and will not appear automatically on another device.
Is anything saved if I use it without signing in?
The local demo content is stored only in the current browser and does not sync to an account. Birth details are not included in shared cards either.
5. AI boundaries and privacy
Will the AI re-plot the chart or change the Useful Element on its own?
No. The AI reads only the chart facts already locked by the deterministic engine. While the birth details stay the same, it may not re-plot the chart or replace the Useful Element. The AI handles wording and connecting to real questions, and has to make uncertainty explicit.
How are my birth details and questions used?
Birth details and questions are used only to generate your content, keep your records and provide the related service. We do not sell personal information and do not use this content for ad targeting.
Can it replace investment, medical, legal or major life advice?
No. Traditional BaZi is a framework for cultural interpretation and self-reflection. The results do not constitute medical, legal, financial, psychological or other professional advice, and they do not guarantee that an event will happen or that a result is accurate. Cross-check important decisions and consult a qualified professional.
