- How is the BaZi City Test calculated?
- Your BaZi chart identifies its Useful, Favorable and Unfavorable Elements. Each city's direction from your birthplace is then matched to an element using the Later Heaven bagua. Cities in your Useful Element's direction rank first; those in your Unfavorable Element's direction rank last.
- Why isn't the city I want in my results?
- The test currently compares 16 international cities and marks the top nine on the map. A city that doesn't appear is either outside the catalog or ranked lower. It isn't a verdict that the city is wrong for you.
- Why do some directions differ from what I see on a map?
- Directions follow the shortest route across the globe. From Shanghai or Hong Kong, for example, the route to New York heads north first, so New York falls in the northern sector. Flat world maps distort these directions.
- Can I take the test without my birth time?
- Yes. Tick “I do not know the exact time”. The hour pillar is then estimated at noon, so treat the favorable elements, and the city ranking, as a rougher guide.
- Can I use the result to decide where to move or work?
- We don't recommend it. Direction elements are traditional symbols and ignore climate, income, visas, language and family. Use the result as a starting point for travel or curiosity, and base major decisions on real-world information.
- Is it free? Do I need an account?
- It's free and needs no sign-in. Your birth details are used only for this match and are not shown publicly.
